The VDS 200N series is used to simulate the various battery supply waveforms recommended by international standards and by car manufacturer requirements. Especially the manufacturer requirements are an important area covered by the VDS 200N series as there is a large variety of requirements.

Secondly, the VDS 200N series serve as powerful DC voltage supplies for the EUT during the tests with automotive transients. The UCS200N50 (Item 593), VDS200N30 (Item 594), LDN200N (Item 595) and the Autowave(Item 596) are housed in cases which allow the assemble of a 19" rack as seen in the above photos to cover automotive transients including VM and ISO 7637 standards along with Def Stan 61-5 requirements.

The equipment can be either used locally or controlled via a test laptop (Item 597).
