Inrush Compensator CAB1001

The Conformity Assessment Business Model CAB1001 Inrush Compensator enables users to meet the 500A inrush requirement of EN 61000-4-11, irrespective of supply impedance.

This is achieved by switching in Live-Neutral capacitance up to 80 µF in 10 µF steps. The capacitance is introduced using a unique staggered and soft switching method, ensuring that downstream protection devices do not trip due to inrush current.

Control is provided via a simple and intuitive touch screen interface. The CAB1001 also incorporates a dual disconnect system that safely removes any stored capacitance from both input and output within 50 ms of supply disconnection.
