The Fischer F-140-A is a Current Probe used for clamping around cabling in order to measure the current passing through the cable. The Fischer F-140-A is typically used in conjunction with an Analyser and cable.

Where would this be used? The Fischer F-140-A Current Probe can be used for Conducted Emissions testing. It can also be useful for fault finding and investigatory purposes.

The Fischer F-140-A includes a matching network, which is used for frequencies between 100kHz and 1MHz. It provides better matching, thereby reducing the reverse power going back into the amplifier. For level setting during the calibration run, this probe is fitted into a calibration fixture. During the test run, the induced current can be measured using a monitor probe.
